Storefront Improvement Program

Matching grant

Get a busier storefront with up to 50% matching grant support, max $7,500 per storefront ($10,000 for street-corner improvements on two facades). This is a reimbursement grant, so you pay for the work first and get paid back after inspection, but the program is currently closed for 2026, so watch for the next intake. Applications are closed right now and we watch for reopening.

How BBN Labs helps

  • BBN designs and coordinates the fabrication of high-impact storefront signs that draw eyes from the street, turning this matching grant into a permanent marketing asset that works while you sleep.
  • BBN coordinates painting, siding, stucco, and structural repairs with trusted local trades, so you manage one project lead instead of juggling five different contractors.
  • BBN scopes your eligible costs and organizes the quotes to keep you on deadline, guiding you through the application so you don't lose the funding.

What to know before you count on it

  • Cost-share: you pay for the work first, then you're reimbursed (about half) after it's done and inspected.
  • Apply and get approved BEFORE you start any work or buy anything — starting early disqualifies most of these.
  • Area-gated to Spruce Grove's designated CIP/BIA zone — confirm your address qualifies before you spend.
  • Municipal funding is limited each year — confirm money is still available.

What are your odds?

Area-gated and funding-limited, but a straightforward fit if your Spruce Grove address qualifies and you apply before starting.
