Downtown Victoria Business Facade Improvement Grant
Get a brighter storefront with up to $5,000 in reimbursement for exterior facade work — siding, paint, lighting, awnings and landscaping — on heritage buildings in Victoria. This is a cost-share grant, so you pay first and get reimbursed after approval and inspection. Note: the program is currently waitlisted, so confirm availability before planning. Applications are closed right now and we watch for reopening.

Probably not the right fit if

- exterior lighting
- awnings
- permanent landscaping
- bird deterrents
- exterior cleaning

- Proof of property ownership or owner's consent
How BBN Labs helps
- BBN coordinates exterior surface treatments and lighting with trusted local trades, giving your storefront a cohesive, refreshed look under one project.
- BBN designs and coordinates awnings and permanent landscaping with qualified partners, boosting curb appeal and drawing more customers to your door.
- BBN guides you through the application and deadlines, so you don't lose the funding.
What to know before you count on it
- Cost-share: you pay for the work first, then you're reimbursed (about half) after it's done and inspected.
- Apply and get approved BEFORE you start any work or buy anything — starting early disqualifies most of these.
- Your property must sit inside the Downtown Victoria Business Association boundaries — confirm your address before you spend.
- Grants are currently waitlisted — contact the DVBA to get in the queue before planning your project.
- Municipal funding is limited each year — confirm money is still available.
What are your odds?
Area-gated and currently waitlisted, but a straightforward fit if your Victoria address is inside the DVBA boundaries and you apply before starting work.
